Movies with the Meadows: Spain in the Sixties
In honor of the Meadows Museum’s sixtieth anniversary, Movies with the Meadows will present three films from the decade of our founding, the 1960s. These films, whether drama, comedy, or satire, capture the spirit of the decade in Spain. All films are screened in the Bob and Jean Smith Auditorium.
Atraco a las tres (Robbery at Three O'Clock) (1962) directed by José María Forqué
José María Forqué‘s Atraco a las tres is considered one of the best Spanish comedy films of all time. Fed up with the new director of the bank where he works, Galindo convinces his fellow employees to plan a perfect robbery in their own branch. They prepare everything carefully, but things take a turn when real robbers show up before they can execute their plan.
