This informal program is designed for individuals with early-stage dementia, their care partners, and family members. Participants explore the galleries through interactive activities; experiment with different materials to create individual and group projects; and discover works of art through music, dance, literature, and storytelling. This program is free. Light refreshments will be served. Space is limited and advance registration is required.

Enjoy afternoons of informal drawing instruction with artist Ian O’Brien. Each session provides an opportunity to explore a variety of techniques and improve drawing skills. Designed for adults and students ages 12 and older, and open to all abilities and experience levels. Drawing materials will be available, but participants are encouraged to bring their own sketchpads and pencils. Minors must be accompanied by at least one adult over the age of 18.Space is limited and advance registration is required.
Calling all little ones and their grown-ups! This program welcomes children ages 2–5 and their adults into the museum before it opens to explore art together. This program focuses on the making and the doing and not the final product. We will enjoy songs and story time led by Highland Park Library, look at a work of art, experience a new art making process, and most importantly, have fun!

This is not a drop-off program; children must be accompanied by at least one adult over the age of 18. Both grownups and children need to register. Recommended for ages 2–5, but all children are welcome. This program is not a drop-in program. Each session begins at 9 am and ends at 10 am. Space is limited and advanced registration is required.
